Padmini Rout is an Indian international master. In 2006, she won both the Indian U-13 Championship and Asian U-12 Championship. Rout continued her winning streak by taking first place in the 2009 Asian Junior Girls Championship and the 2010 Indian Junior Girls Championship.

Rout was also the Indian Women's Championship four times, from 2014 through 2017. She also won the 2015 Commonwealth Women's Championship and the 2018 Asian Individual Women's Championship. Rout has also played for the Indian Women's Olympic team on multiple occasions.
