Rafael Leitao is a Brazilian grandmaster, commentator, and content creator. Leitao learned to play chess when he was six and quickly became a prominent player, winning the Pan American Chess Championship eight times in different categories. Leitao also won the U-12 World Youth Chess Championship title in 1991 and the U-18 category in 1996. He then proceeded to win the Brazilian championship seven times (1996, 1997, 1998, 2004, 2011, 2013, and 2014).

Leitao is also a prominent content creator, having more than 53,000 followers on YouTube and 13,000 on his Twitch channel (as of June 2022). Leitao is also famous for his commentator career, hosting events for alongside fellow grandmaster Krikor Mekhitarian
