Sabina-Francesca Foisor is a Romanian-American woman grandmaster. Foisor's earliest success came when she won the U-8 Girls European Championship in 1996. She decided to move to the United States in 2008 after earning a chess scholarship at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She transferred to the U.S. federation in 2009.
Foisor participated in four consecutive Olympiads (2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016) and three Women's World Team Championships (2013, 2015, 2017). In April 2017, she won the U.S. Women's Chess Championship.
