Welcome to PubXChess!
We are a growing community of chess enthusiasts who gather and play over the board chess every Sunday in different pubs in Singapore! The idea came about when The Organizer reconnected with a long-lost chess friend in a bar within Holland Village. They played several games over a few pints, and the crushing brilliancy (with beer) reignited the passion and zest for chess!
Over the course of a year, the movement has evolved into weekly casual blitz tournament – Strong players are getting wind of our movement and are eager to prove their mettle. More bars are open to letting us play at their premises, and some have exclusive perks for PubXChess members!
Our goal is to foster a Pub-Chess spirit, where we can have healthy competition, network and forge new friendships over this timeless game!
