Introduction to the Boor Attack

Join me on an exploration of my secret chess weapon. Normally in the Exchange Variation of the Slav Defense we are in for symmetrical structures that tend to simplify to a draw. Not so in the Boor Attack! White will attempt to overrun the center with active piece and pawn play in the spirit of the gambits in the Open Game.

The Mcduffee

We close this study of the Boor Attack by looking at one of my best wins in this variation. I have titled this game The Mcduffee as I was inspired by a girl I met before I played it... who later became my wife.
