Today's King's Indian practitioners have GM Gligoric to thank. Here GM Bojkov shows the birth of the modern-day "Mar del Plata" variation, employed by Gligoric to win several games in the 1950s and later used by Kasparov to annihilate fellow GMs in the 1990s. Gligoric enacts some revenge on the Argentinian GM Najdorf on his home soil, then beats another disbelieving Argentinian GM later in the same tournament. To date, no refutation has been found!
