Howdy All!

I haven't blogged in a while! I'm really missing it.

First off, thank you for reading. I hope that you enjoy my unique, if not rather common, perspective about being a young person fighting his way through the gauntlet of local aspirants like himself.

For those of you wondering what I have been to, well, I've been keeping busy. I have my own contracting business and it's great. Sure beats working a job where I'm making OTHER people rich. Another wonderful thing is that I can spend more time with the people and endeavors I love. So, needless to say, more chess! Weekly games at the club and a tournent every other month have been beneficial thus far.

Like I have done previously I'll post games (mostly my own) with light analysis or positions I have studied with heavier analysis. Rarely do I use a computer; the analysis is home grown, so be gentle! This is the best way to improve, I hear. And so far, I'm not an exception. The periods of consistent growth have occured when substantial attention was given to my own play. I recommend that approach.

So, with all that, I wish you all the most sucess in all your endeavors-on and off the board. Check up on me periodically for new content, viz., let me make the mistakes, in that way you score more points ;)

Until then...

See you OTB!
