Rigging Tournaments for Norms ?
Columbus Ohio, CCL IM Norm Round Robin.
The first norm (Internationl Master requirement) tournament in central Ohio history and the second such event in the state is currently taking place from Febuary 14th-18th.
This a closed 10 player event with special invites that rasies an important question.
Should paid titled employees of a chess company be allowed to play in a round robin norm event with their own students ?
Griggs are Hughes are the students, IM Kizov and IM Vojinovic are the coaches.
It will be interesting to see how the games play out if the boys are in contention.
