I have decided to scrounge up annotated games wherever I can find them with the purpose of proving the annotator right or wrong. I think this will be a healthy way to improve our game analysis. Let's give this a serious go starting with the first move. We'll scrutinize every move! I'll start by posting this game. I'll submit my own comments later. What do you think?
Black also missed
If White plays 20. Bf1 then
20...Qf3+ 21. Be2 Rxd2 22. Kxd2 Qxd4 and Knight is pinned again
If White plays 20. Nf1 then
20...Rxd2 22. Kxd2 Qg2 and Bishop is pinned
Either way, White is in a hopeless position.
its very nice
4.Nh3? - Baaaaad.
4...d5! - "Black plays for control of the centre" - Sweet! I love to see central pawn advances and rapid piece development. :)
5.f3? - I think 5.exd5 exd5 6.Nf4 is better. White shouldn't let Black get away with putting a pawn on d4 without a fight.
5...Bd6? - 5...d4 would be better aligned with his goal of controlling the center and annexing more space for his pieces. After he completed development, he would have been able to use that extra space to maneuver and attack.
.... not looking to closely now ...
17...Qf3+ "Forking the White King and Rook!!" - Huh? Black missed something. If White were tactically alert, he would play the 18.Kd2!. Then if Black plays Qxh1, he would soon be in for a very rude awakening. It's a devious trap.
