My first French
Yesterday I studied an excelent article about openings for beginners posted in The Learning Group (here). I like the recommended approach and I think that Czech kids would benefit from that very much. I plan to talk to our local chess coaches about that.
So I decided to give it a try myself and for the first time in my life I played French as a Black. I studied some main lines, I searched an online database to see how the big guys play that, trying to learn basic ideas and plans. (And I realized that an Advanced variation is an interesting mess.) After that I was "prepared" and I could start. What could possibly go wrong?
