Pride And Humility

“Behold, as for the proud one, his soul is not right within him; But the Righteous will Live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:4

For I am not ashamed of The Gospel, for It Is The Power Of GOD For Salvation To everyone who believes, To the Jew first and also To the Greek ( Gentile ). For In It Righteousness Of GOD Is Revealed from faith to faith ( by faith towards faith ); as It Is Written, “But the Righteous shall Live by faith.” For The Wrath Of GOD Is Revealed From Heaven Against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress The Truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about GOD is evident within them; for GOD Made it evident To them. Romans 1:16-19.

There will be none with excuse. Just as there can be none with reason to boast in anything, save to boast in The LORD.

When what you will stand on is criticized, rejected, had scorn poured over it, what you then feel, who do you feel it for? For GOD or for yourself? And if you are shown to be wrong, how do you react? In and from your heart, all of which GOD Sees, how do you react?

When someone speaks a message from The Word Of GOD more clearly than you could have said it, more profoundly, do you rejoice in what you have heard and praise GOD? Or is what you feel anything  whatsoever contrary to this? On hearing do you then seek to find fault in whatever you may find fault in for the purpose of finding fault, to discredit, even slander, that you yourself may gain or re-gain recognition?

When you are shown to be wrong, do you stubbornly hold onto what it is you believe and refuse to hear correction? Or do you truly seek to know GOD and be Known By HIM?

When wrong has been spoken, when wrong has been done, before any other action, do you always seek to be reconciled?

In your living do you seek The Knowledge Of GOD, or, that your own wisdom and desires of your own heart, your own wishes, your own beliefs, be heard and known?

Do you regard others as more important than yourself? Do you speak and act as the well-being of others is paramount to yourself?

Do you seek  glory of and for yourself, or The Glory Of GOD?

Confrontation can easily be seen as an ugly word. But the truth is, it is not. It is how confrontation is carried out, and indeed received, which deems whether or not if any confrontation is ugly. Confrontation is not pleasant, but confrontation may well be required when correction is needed. And, as with all things, there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. Even if what is said is the right thing to be said and what is needed to be spoken and yet it is spoken in the wrong way, in the wrong manner, then it is always wrong.

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have Love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have Prophecy, and know all Mysteries and all Knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have Love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed, and if I deliver my body that I may boast, but do not have Love, it profits me nothing… 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Do you believe and understand that pride is a barrier to allowing The HOLY SPIRIT to Work in and through you?

Pride; Haughtiness, Arrogance; the character of one who, with a swollen estimate of his own powers or merits, looks down on others and even treats them with insolence and contempt: And HE was Saying, “That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride foolishness. “All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.” Mark 7:20-23.

Pride; to envelop with smoke, that is metaphorically, to inflate with self conceit: high-minded, be lifted up with pride, be proud: 1 Timothy 3:6.

Pride; empty, braggart talk; an insolent and empty assurance which trusts in its own power and resources and shamefully despises and violates Divine Laws; an impious and empty presumption which trusts in the stability of earthy things; self confidence: Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves ( in a social or moral sense ) the world, The Love Of The FATHER is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from The FATHER, but is from the world. And the world is passing away, and its lusts; but the one who does The Will Of GOD Abides Forever. 1 John 2:15-17.
