New Paths in the Smith-Morra declined

The miniature game I am about to show here, along with the commentary is demonstrative of the poison contained in the positions that can arise from declining the Smith-Morra gambit with 3...e5!?  The game can get very sharp, and White has little or no chance of gaining any sort of theoretical edge. Sicilian defenders should also be aware that this system can be entered via the Alapin line by answering 1.e4 c5 2.c3 with 2...e5!?
