Time to get Serious....Really

I took a break and now im back. What i've discovered was my love of the game but my lack of seriousness. When i see players with ratings in excess of 1800, i see how far i have to go and the realization i will probably never take the time to study to obtain this level. So what do i do? I can't quit, don't want too! So it's the long slow road (lifetime) i choose to take. Maybe in another ten years, i will be the player i long to be. Thank God chess has been and will be around to deal with my sluggard pace.
