Unknown and underrated, the Guimard Variation is a very interesting way to face the Tarrasch Variation of the French Defense. Named after argentinian Grandmaster Carlos Guimard, this variation appears after the moves 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nd2 Nc6. In the game below, the polish GM Heberla employs it to outplay indian FM Harshal. Enjoy it!
