Triple pawns...!?

Triple pawns...!?

Salvidrim
| 5

Taken from this game (Salvidrim vs. Malcolm Parfitt, 2012).

This is by far the worst pawn position I've ever ended up with; a column a three pawns (e3-e4-e5), an isolated pawn (b2) and two connected pawns but not advanced at all.  In addition to my King being far away and my Rook being practically useless, this position was easy to resign from.

Although understandable that I would lose considering I was outclassed from the start, it is still quite a wonder that Malcolm managed to work my into such a horrendous position. :)
