Board 5, Wigston 3 v Braunstone 2, 09/10/14

Time limit: all moves in 90 minutes.

Second game in a row where my opponent played his first seven moves almost instantly.  It's ages since I played against the Tarrasch and clearly I had forgotten what to do about it.  

I felt like I was in an inferior position from about move 10 and spent the rest of the game trying, in vain, to find swindles to get out of it - I must be playing too much blitz, where such an approach can sometimes work!!

Looking at it the morning after, I was actually OK (maybe even a bit better) until 17. ... g6; exchanging on e6 and maintaining the pin was stronger than I had calculated ... but whoever plays the French to be calculating tactical variations???
