What you should understand

Hi all!

This is a quick blog on some things you should understand.

First off, I accept ALL friend requests. I sure like to have you in my friends list. But understand that accepting your friend request is a matter of two or three mouse-clicks at best. Nothing spectacular, and nothing special. So it's no big deal, and you needn't thank me for that.

Which leads to the second point: I didn't sign any social contract by accepting your friend request, and I don't owe you anything.

So although I like receiving messages and respond to most of them, that means nothing more than it really is: sending polite, constructive replies to anything you wish to talk about with me without further ado.

I'm not your girlfriend.
So don't treat me as if I am. And I'm not alone in this. I believe I speak for most female users on here if I say that I'm not waiting for attempts to hook up. Save yourself the hassle. Note: chess.com is not a dating site. It's a platform to make friends and to play chess.

Since I uploaded my current avatar about 1½ weeks ago, I've had plenty of messages of guys telling me how beautiful I am. I'm fine with that (thanks indeed), but I don't really think that it means that much. Sure I'm not the ugliest person on Earth, but I needn't be reminded five times a day by five different guys. In fact, it's not likely that I can have a constructive substantial conversation with you if you don't have anything else to say than "you look beautiful".

Thanks for understanding, and I expect I'm doing everyone of you a favour sharing this ^^

Love, Simone :-)
