More Vintage Chess on TV
A while ago I blogged about whether chess could work on television, and fondly recalled an earlier era before the internet when chess WAS on TV - at least in the UK anyway.
More and more of these early experiments in chess TV are magically appearing on YouTube, and some more examples from the Kasparov v Short world championship match in 1993 are below (H/T The Streatham & Brixton Chess Blog).
The main commentator is the smooth and calm Bill Hartston, assisted by the good doctor, John Nunn, and the somewhat confused presenter Peter Snow.
