I beat Apple's Chess program!

Previously the apple computer on the toughest difficulty was too slow for my impatience, but I was asked by a layman friend if I could beat the hardest level, so I naturally had to try. Not on my first attempt, but shortly after, I produced a winning game. It seems the computer has zero attacking abilities, and as long as you don't make a glaring mistake, and maintain the intiative, you can simply outlast it. Does anyone have any idea how strong it is? I wasn't impressed, but my brief research uncovered this link: http://www.hiarcs.com/mac_chess_hiarcs.htmwhich implies that my OS X 10.6.8 should be of very high quality... I am suspicious this isn't the case. My googles have not produced anything conclusive, so I was wonder if anyone has any ideas on the design and quality of apple's chess program. Here is the game in question, I wouldn't consider it close to my best chess, since I watched TV during to let the computer take its 5+ minute long moves.

It seemed as if its goals was more to delay mate than to prevent it. I'll never be caught calling a win a disappointment... but it certainly could have been better--one would think.
