great game charles! I wouldn't have pushed h5 and castled but it depends what type of player you are and it worked for you so great job!

Although I will say that this game had a great deal of moves being taken back, both by him and myself.

@Takuya: Yeah it was a loss by time. Though the next couple of moves would have led to him dropping more pawns until an ultimate push from my extra pawns.

@Hiro: I castled since I didn't want to mess with such a strong pawn structure from the e-g files and so I made that a wall and pushed all of my other pieces to the a-d files to launch an all-out attack whilst my king would remain safe. I remember considering f7 during the match, however I thought that would leave myself more open to his attacks. Plus I am much better with closed games than open games so keeping a strong pawn structure was key to this closed game.

So was it a win due to loss of time? Either way you were ahead by two pawns so goos game Charles

18 O-O -- I don't think you should Castle. I mean you have a semi-open H-file that may open up soon by doing something like f5 and sacerficing your light squared Bishop or your Knight on either h6 or e7. I think you should have done f7 that way you connect your Rook and you can swing over your a8 Rook to g8.

Just some suggestion from your lower board player. :P

Overall, this closed game was really fun to watch and observe. All though I must admit it's odd seeing someone who plays Reti would do 4. d3. When you do the opening Reti you are suppose to play it either similar to Queen's Gambit or simple d4 instead of 2. g3 giving his opponent some chance to control the Center. Great game Charles! The team will miss you next year. :/
