I've just recently started playing more correspondence chess rather than blitz, trying to really improve my game by thinking more deeply, and getting to know different openings. This was a tough game, and I lost in the end, partly because I made a terrible mistake mid-way through from which I never recovered, but I am quite proud of the way I did not crumble. I fell to a two pawn deficit because of my mistake, and the deficit was two pawns when I eventually resigned.
Here it is, in four stages.
The opening - textbook Sicilian dragon with Yugoslav attack
The middle game - disaster strikes!
Time to see what I can salvage
The inevitable occurs
