July 5, 2011....I purchased a brand new computer last year.....with OS...Windows 7...and they have a computer chess game under "games".....I have been playing against the computer through a total of 361 games....with me winning ONLY 92 games....or about 26% winning average. This computer is tough to beat....I play using LEVEL 8...out of 10 levels of "difficult" play. I expect to be back at play with Chess.com...within the next 30 days.......I WILL BE BACK!!! .....I am starting to miss my friends of yesteryear. One thing I DON'T know.......will I get my old ratings back?

It depends on the skill of ur opponents at times. Mostly it is about knowledge and experience, the more u have the more u can think ahead espeically in regard to knowledge, such as when u learn openings u can learn in depth not just by moves ahead but also concepts. Same with middle game and end game ideas. I can think about 10 moves each side on a good day without analysis board and only about 2 or 3 on other days. Just make sure ur calculations are accurate in either case learn tactical idea's and just keep practicing.
