Live Chess Improvements Today!
Hot on the heels of our round-up of site changes from last month, we're starting July with a bang... with some great enhancements to Live Chess!
New Sounds! Several of the sounds in the recent update were not so great, so we've replaced some of the less popular sound effects. (In particular, the new sounds for game-start and game-over are MUCH better.)
Improved premove and fast-move animation!
A better experience for observers and followers! Observers can now rotate the board, and if you're following a player who is playing black, you automatically see the board from their perspective.
You can now cancel rematch requests! (The rematch button changes to "Cancel" while you are waiting for your opponent to respond.)
We also implemented some smaller improvements to the interface, suspicious-play monitoring, & the Live game archive. FYI: To see your game archive within Live's Full Client, just click on your username at the top of the screen and select "View Game Archive." This also works if you click on other players' usernames. If you always want to see the "Archive" tab, you can enable it in the "Tabs" area within Live Settings. Changes here include a new "Finished" column and some bug-fixes.
