I haven't seen the new interface that's shipping later this month, but wouldn't you want to wait for that? I have the old version and it's fun to use and easy to figure out. Progressively more difficult puzzles and "handicap" games. Decent database. Import/export PGN files. Analyze with Houdini. Probably more a fun training tool than anything. I got mine bundled with a 6pack of other tactics, opening, endgame, and strategy/pawn structure programs. Old school Soviet repetition method with thousands of examples. It's a tossup whether I like the main ChessKing or the 6pack more. Good value, easy to use; a little crude here and there, but nothing to drive you crazy. I might upgrade but the existing interface works well enough that I'll wait for details, maybe a review or two.

I got the promo email and, sorry to hijack the thread slightly, has anyone tried the chess ok software with wine on Linux? It certainly looks worth a punt, but I'm concerned about how it will function.
I've got CT Art 3 on Windows and I remember that being a little rough, but I'd like to move all my chess stuff to Linux in the future and I'm interested in CK3.
can anyone tell me if its worth getting chess king 3.iv already got chessmasterGE and ad great fun playing and learning the game.
