E4 and D4 are the best (IMHO). F4 is wierd.
As for playing online go to the green bar at the top of this page and hover your mouse over the play button. Something should pop-up with a list of things. Click on Live chess when you get to that page click on the green button that says play live chess. A pop-up window should pop-up and just read the rules.
