I was playing Nadjorf from 2004 till 2009. Out if all games I think I won less than half of them.

I had studied the opening im great detail and analysed all variations but still there is one variation I just couldnt master, and ladies and gentlemen that is the 4.Be3 followed by an inevitable 5.f3 variation.

Once my opponent chooses this variatio I cant help but panic. So guys if you could just help me out on this one I would be very please. How do I equalise the position

Thanks

please show a game where you lost because of that variation.

I am guessing he means 6.Be3 (the english attack)

The english attack isn't the stronger setup against the najdorf, but it requires to UNDERSTAND what you are doing. You need to counterattack on the queen side, (and your pawn majority in the center slows down the white's attack as well) and the better player wins. The endgames are better for black thanks to his pawn structure and the big pawn advancements of white that weakens his pawns.

Or you can just play Ng4 the anti-english attack with interesting positions.

But if 6...Ng4 white can still go into the setup with 7.Bc1! Nf6 8.f3!
