How to keep a 1600+ bullet rating

As a follow up to my first post on how to keep a 1500 rating, I would like to share some ideas that feel are important for a 1600+ bullet player.

1.  Making threats and defending threats. Adding or relieving pressure on diagonals, files, or simply a single square is important. Constantly looking for attacking points (commonly on the opponents castled pawns) and being able to look through pieces via files or diagonals and pawn breaking to create pins or skewers.

2. Endgame practice!

3. Creating pins on the king or queen through pawns or minor pieces and building attacks from them.

4. Practicing defending the king. Learning how to move pawns to defend and when to capture or decline during a pawn storm or piece sacrifice.

5. Review lost games that have major blunders with an engine. This will develope overall technique.
