Anand still leading after 12 (or 11?) rounds in Candidates tournament !
Anand vs Carlsen: World Championship match thread

A very wise person called Skand had kind of predicted this possibility some months back as now Vishy would be playing without the burden of world crown, much more relaxed.

I must say I am pleasantly surprised by Anand's performance, I couldn't help thinking Anand was passé after his rather poor Zürich results. As for the future I'd love to witness a Carlsen-Caruana match once (I indeed do not expect Anand to beat Carlsen this time) as Caruana is really young still and I think he actually stands a chance against Carlsen in a few years.

That you did, good sir. That you did. :)
Also some months ago, I managed to get away with this post on the thread and not get censored. We all have our achievements!

Yes, indeed. How can we forget that unrhyming poem you inflicted on us poor, unsuspecting innocent bystanders :-). Well you must already be knowing why I am in such good mood today :-)) !!
Vishy has done it WITH ONE ROUND TO SPARE!!

@Skand: Happy for you ... and Anand. Hope November promises to be exciting.
Once again .. apologies for not rhyming but that was not my actual intent.

@All_ways_winner: What makes you say so?

I just read a cool interview with Vladimir Kramnik who says Anand stands a much better chance this second time around.
Here's the link:

Anand won the candidates and has his confidence back. In the first match he only scored 6 draws in nine games, so he almost has to do better in the rematch. I think the problems he faces are Carlsen's youth and superior strength based on their respective ratings. I just don't see Anand pulling it off, although I suspect he will win at least one game in the rematch.
D!!!
