Chess.com NON - RESPONSIVE

Sort:
IndianaRules7

In the middle a game, suddenly nothing moves and the game is frozen. Then I get the notice saying the program is non-responsive. I x out, sign in again and I have already lost the game. You could not leave a worse bitter taste in my mouth. Very poor whatever ...

Gee, you've played 19,167 free blitz games here. At 10 minutes a game, you have spent the equivalent of 133 days or a full third of a year of your life playing chess here. From that fact alone, I conclude that you must have been somewhat satisfied, but get a little problem with the clocks and you are out of here...

I'm sure it's gratitude and patience like that is what the staff live for.

Why not write in directly and post a support ticket about your little problem?  You might include a few details about your setup so that a staff member might be able to make a semi-intelligent guess about what might be wrong.

You might possibly also mention how thankful you are that you have had a place where you have been able to spend so many hours for nothing over the last three years and apologize for inconveniencing them with your little problem.

If you have nothing to say, don't waste my time.

My point is that your posts are very hostile towards chess.com. You have an attitude that they owe you something, despite your not having paid a dime and despite their having provided you with thousands of hours of entertainment.

It's entirely possible that the problem is owed to your computer. However, unless you provide some details, no one can tell. If you have a problem, you submit a problem report and they will look at it, but they need to know what operating system and browser you are using, or phone, or whatever, so that they can see if the problem is just yours or has occurred previously.

Why not help make this place better instead of just complaining? Your hostility does not make things any easier.

If I complain to local government that roads have some potholes in them, am I being hostile? Suppose I report some potholes, and I am told "but you have enjoyed thousands of pothole-less paved roads. Why don't you just be thankful for those?" Well, maybe I should be!

My computer, operating system and everything else is the same and has not changed. Internet connection was intact so long as other sites were concerned. I had a problem with chess.com program and I reported it. The following day all was back to normal good. Most of the time chess.com program works just fine, but when it does not - OK, I will not complain and just go elsewhere to enjoy chess.

I DO NOT COMPLAIN . I DO NOT SUBMIT TICKET

I HAVING FUN

I ENJOY CHESS TOO. ICC IS BETTER THOUGH,ITS THE HOME OF THE STARS. :pFICS ALSO NOT BAD.

HOW THEY COULD TELL YOU JUST LEAVE! YOU ARE CUSTOMER!

:o

:p

You have to at least tell people where the potholes are.

Most systems change all the time through updates, etc.  Despite your belief that your system has not changed, most systems are updated very often.

Maybe you are right. If you just submit the info, describing the problem in detail and your own system info, then chess.com can figure out if it has a problem. If you don't they have no clue.

first, did you have any other things running.this may cause your computer to slow, and if it gets too bad,it will become unesponsive.Second,Internet Explorer is prime to chess.com.Last,like notmtwain said, your computer specs and update requirments are cricual to this.If your computer passed all of this, most likely it is chess.com.Send them a support ticket and they will handle it.Hope this helped.

Before playing chess on chess.com I close all other programs (if any), then run a malware removal program. Sometimes restart the computer in addition to the above. Then start my chess game which sometimes is normal in terms of speed but sometimes is slow or very slow.

This is progress. You have finally posted some information about what you are doing. Now take that info, together with info about what kind of computer you have, how old, etc. what kind of connection and submit it to Support.

LOL - I see @loloboiolo has been bumping old threads and has just been muted - possibly related, who knows? I see that @IndianaRules7 is still playing here, although I don't know if they've participated in any forum threads since 2015...

You could be. I have had to report some potholes before. One was on the interstate ( 465 ) and it was  huge . If I would have hit it I would have been a goner.

But this site is not a government entity. I pay taxes to keep my roads safe.
