Feature Requests and Wishlist Thoughts #2

I realize Game Explorer is currently undergoing some changes (thanks by the way for keeping up as much of it as your were able to) - this is a suggestion for future Game Explorer (GE) enhancements.
After making one or more moves in GE, the name of the opening appears beneath the board. Beneath the opening is often a list of 'Related Openings.'
Will it be possible in the future to somehow 'connect' if not combine this 'related openings' feature (with the official name and ECO code) with the move list to the right? Specifically, in the future may we be able to see - in one look - the possible moves, name of the continuation, corresponding white/draw/black percentages and ECO code?
Bonus question (!) - Is chess.com planning to allocate resources to GE to further enable GE's transposition 'awareness'? This might be another section beneath 'related openings', something like 'possible transpositions.'
By the way, I heard the other day that the reason Al Gore actually invented the internet was for chess.com. I wasn't surprised.

is there any way to see the points gained/lost *after* a game has finished? i know that during a game, i can see how many points are at stake, but after the game ends, that line is gone.

1) SHOUT OUT for chess.com I'm on my summer break and since I've found this site I'm having a blast keeping a few games going. I'll do a yearly membership next payday (end of the month). I KNOW you can't contain your excitment at so MUCH money ;)
2) Thank you for the search feature. I searched LIVE and found an explanation.
3) The moves listing works REALLY nice. I clicked on a move and discovered the board reset to that point and i could walk back thru the game. Excellent for refreshing one's thoughts on 1 of several games being played with hours or days between moves.
4) SUGGESTION for an additional use of the avatar. You show online with a radiating antenna color coded for live status and the word LIVE for live members.
I'd like to see a marking indicating if the person is online but IDLE. Two things. One - I don't stay logged on since my opponents will think I'm online and may wait for me to make a move when I'm not really there. Two - I wouldn't wait for someone for no good reason!
Like - maybe - grey out the antenna or something if the member hasn't made a mouse click for 30 minutes or so. Yahoo messenger marks people idle in this fashion if you want an example.
5) I'd like to post the year I'm born, but not the exact date. The exact date is an identy theft thing. Right now the profile dosn't except blank month/day.

I think I may have mentioned it before, but I can't recall -- on the "It's Your Move" alert e-mails I'd like to see an image like the mouse-over board that shows the current position.

When I receive a challenge, instead of simply having the options to "View" or "Ignore" I think it would be better to have the options to "Accept" (Can use mouse-over to provide opponent's vitals), "Decline" (with the option to provide a note outlining why) and "Ignore".
Similarly, for seeks, having to click "View" and then "Accept" has caused me to miss a number of seeks. Having "Accept" as an option right on the main seek page would alleviate this problem as well.

There is no "numbering"/time in list of messages in chat window. I'm confident that there has to be a leading number of respective move at which the message was sent.

Not to open this can of worms again, but as a regular player who is registering for a tourney (that is, not a tournament director) would it be possible to be able to see the concurrent game count for the other players? Right now I'm in a tournament with a guy who's in 119 games and he appears to be someone who's going to be eating up the clock on every move. I would prefer to NOT take part in tournaments with these sorts of players. I'm not calling them out as lowlifes. I simply don't want to play with them.
I am aware of the argument that it's all fair as long as he can make his moves in the time allowed, but just because it's fair doesn't mean it's *right* to play so many games that he is forced to use the max time for every move. In addition, this other player is a premium member so he basically will never time out due to the vacation protection (a feature I, as a paying member, would be glad to see removed).
Anyway, thanks for listening...

Just another Idea for your site. I don;t think you have it but what about a dual commentary option for games? so when you've finished playing both players can add their thoughts/commentary to the game if they agree to. When both players have finished and pressed "submit" button then one game will appear with text either side of the board for each player.
Its probably possible to do this now in a round about way but it would be good to see what both players were thinking on each move.
I hope that makes sense?

This might have been suggested before, but I would really appreciate some sort of game management/organization, eg putting games in folders.
As its setup now, games are only organized by time to move. I would really enjoy a way to sort out tournament games, vs casual, and friendly games. While I understand that having auto sorting options could expensive bandwidth wise I would be happy with a manual solution.
Thanks,

Thanks for your suggestions! I have gone through all of them and listed those that we can do. I have started a new thread here:
