there is no way to register @chess.com email with dot before @ symbol.
I wanted to create alex.mauzon@chess.com address but got an error.

So far it is pretty nice. I'm in the beta as an official chess-noob. Akin to what most sub-800 players will be experiencing the site as. I have literally no history with any other chess sites, and have no reference for what a chess site should be like. And, so, I feel like this one is just right.

I'm wondering if there is going to be a "play against another online chess.com member" feature here. I've heard that yahoo chess is pretty popular, and I'm hoping you are going to take some of their marketshare.
Doesn't it just seem right that the global meeting place for fans of a common game should be able to participate in that game together without leaving the meeting place???
The only feature I can find is to play vs the computer. :-( Almost defeats the purpose of joining the community, huh?

it's in the works. we will have an explanation of the status on the PLAY page coming soon. yes, there will be live and turn-based (correspondence) chess play.
Everything is alright with me.
I love this site! Thanks erik. I look forward to further developments. . .
experimenting has paid off. I have learned alot through trial and error. A lot less error as each time I try something different.

Yes, I also like the fact that the tactics trainer includes a time factor. This really helps you to test yourself on how fast you can spot tactics in many chess positions.
I'm not falling for this. You tell us in the title that feedback is a blunder. Very tricky.
me is very happy about it, erik, as are my friends who have joined - I like the standard of play and the mostly erudite or humourous forums. Myself and my other friends no longer use the other sites where we met - s'pose we already voted with our feet

I find the "quote" function in the forums a little bit buggy at times. I think it tries to be a bit too clever (or I'm being too much of a dunce)
Other than that, the site is brilliant!
Fail. Really outdated thread bumped. LOL this is sooo old.
