Muting my sound wouldn't help, as I find the audio cue of the pieces being moved very helpful in my bullet games.
Having said that OP, I paid for a gold membership and got rid of the ads that way, so I've not seen any of the visual ads for some time, let alone heard any of the aural ads - so I don't think "premium paying members" are experiencing this problem, which probably reduces its priority somewhat.
