Game Explorer Still Not Working

IN August, I reported that my games were not showing up in Games explorer. The help desk was vert courteous, and explained that they knew about the problem.

 

"We are currently in the process of adding millions of games to the Game Explorer and unfortunately it has taken longer than expected. We hope to have this all up and working soon! Sorry for the inconvenience!"

 

Nearly three months later, and no fix. Any comment from management on when we'll be able to view our own games in Games Explorer.

 

I should note that for some reason some people CAN see all or some of their games. Others like me cannot see any.

When I look in Game Explorer now, it doesn't even give me the option to explore my games (or those of another user). It only shows master games. I wonder what is going on here.

I noticed the thing where when I wanted to explore my games to see "what have I done in this situation before" that games I knew I played weren't there.  And as EvenDeeperBlue said, we cant even explore our games which I kinda dug a lot.

 

Would the good people in charge of that like to hip us to what's going on?

@Powerlevel_8999:  The reason it's not working right now is because they're adding all of our live chess games into the game explorer.  As you can imagine, there are millions of live chess games, so this isn't exactly a speedy process.  So, quit whining.

Even if it is "a fair amount of time" (I don't know), read comments in Chess.com Feedback, in Help & Support, etc., they get hundreds of demands about glitches, bugs, problems... and really, for the price of 3 books, you get a whole year of incredible richness, freedom to play, watch videos, join discussions, practice etc.

Also, if you need to know how you played a move and got used to Explorer doing it for you (I did too), there are other ways to find your games, give them titles, download their pgn, etc. Just a few years ago you needed a very good memory or you had to think it all over again every time :)

Spoken like someone for whom this feature being dicussed doesn't matter.  As for what "soon" means, if you're saying people in the "web dev" are full of it when they say "soon" then just say that.

"My games" have DISAPPEARED from the game explorer. PLUS am no longer able to go back moves to the beginning, only forward.

Alternate explorer mentioned is a good option, but still cannot access my online games.

This is not what I am paying for, is it?  Hope this issue gets resolved soon.

And guess what? It doesn't matter how many services you get, you pay for them all, and should expect what you pay for. If I get all but one of my HD channels, and the one is a very important channel, should I continue to pay full price for less than full service?  Should I?

Good point and no, you shouldn't.

The apologistes should research the facts about the length of time PAYING members have been fobbed off and deprived of a feature that may have persuaded them to become subscribers. Frown

Hey Mottsauce, sorry but you're being a troll here.  You can't be sniping at everyone for asking chess.com about the problem and then pretend the feature matters to you.  You're just being a jerk for no good reason.  Keep your pathetically patronizing "good try" or what ever you typed, you're wasting bandwidth, server space, and your own time which clearly isn't worth much.
