Why don't they just throw out the live games and keep the online games in it's entirety? The thing is much more gratifying for online games anywhow. But for online games it is!
Game Explorer Still Not Working

Someone who plays live often might be interested to see statistically how he fares in different openings.
However, I agree that having Game Explorer for daily games is ten times more important.

I am extremely excited about this feature... Eagerly checking these posts daily! Please let us know something

I just checked and I have 36.9% of my online loaded. That's better thank before I think. This is the first tie I've actually calculated. I'll keep checking to see if it's increasing.

Most of games between April 2014 and March 2015 are still missing.
However, recently finished are being added, which is good.
I will not renew my premium membership until all my daily games are back.

The backlog of games is slowly coming online! Thanks for your patience.
You're awesome, Erik! :)

Thanks Erik! I still have 0% of my games loaded, but it may because this is a new account. I've been a member since 2009 but forgot my password so had to create a new account :(

Rapid update of master's database in games-explorer is what I most wish to see.
Still languishing in 2012 mostly.

Master database is important, too, but I am mostly excited to see the statistic of my different opening and overall repetoire. I feel like I am at a plateau and need to truly analyze my good and bad decisions, as I feel like I keep repeating many.

I regularly check the state of Game Explorer and see that it is frozen again for a week or more already.
Neither new games nor earlier missing old ones are added.
Very sad. We can only try to guess if it was stopped deliberately for some good reason or everything has broken down and apart again and will take another couple of years to fix.
The whole situation is like trying to ride a car that has only three wheels - you will not go far.
{Some hours later: I was mistaken. New games are added.}

Nice.

Sorry, I've rechecked and now see that I was wrong. Newly finished games are added.
Maybe old games are reindexed too slowly that I can't perceive the increase of games number and it has given me the impression that there is no progress.

Sometimes you can. Now chess.com has introduced a kind of lottery. Their own kind of tie-break. If you win on a Tuesday or draw against a opponent whose alias begins with "C" the game will be added to your visible database. In recent weeks I personally could boast of such a win.

I now see why ~40% of daily games played by me are still out of the Game Explorer.
The reindexing has thrown out all thematic games - started from a preset opening position.
I.e. I've played in a Grob thematic tournament and have 12 games played with black after 1.g4 - but how many of them can I see in Games Explorer? - ZERO.
Same about French, Caro-Cann, etc.
I see it very well, because my basic repertoire is very narrow (however, I eagerly play openings unusual for me in thematic tournaments)
Also, it can be said that ALL thematic games are lost, even those that were previously featured.
No doubt, it is a glitch of the indexing algorithm that can be fixed.
That "improvement" was to clutter up database with flippant "live-games" that did not belong there.
Am also a member for long-time who loves the site but disgusted that this important feature got broken.
I quite agree.
Although I don't play Live, I'm surprised at the decision to purchase new equipment especially to import Live Games; would hardly have considered it a priority.
