yeah but my star trek knowledge is a bit sketchy... for non-chatters - whats the name/species of the guy who sits at quarks bar on ds9 and doesn't say anything?
database users - Borg?

haha I'd say "neeerrrrrrrddd" but if you cant come up with a race in star trek that likes technology, then I guess you arent... I think actually there was a "tng" episode where they were heavily into technology, and it nearly destroyed them. Made them sterile or something. That would be a good one to use. Also, there's at least one episode/film, (usually in star trek there will be several) where people know all about technology but prefer to reject it. Definitely one for non-users. Hmm chatters/non-chatters should be easy too I'm sure.
I think you missed one with those who see nothing wrong with anything as long as it is technically allowed by the laws of the game, like getting a losing position and taking 14 days per move for the next 30 moves. I'd suggest an appropriate race, but I want to pretend I dont know one.

LOL! That's a good comparison. How about Romulans for Non-chatters?
If there isn't there should be a race of beings who have mastered technology and then rejected it in favour of devloping their own potentials to a level that transcends time and space. Their twin culture/race decided to stay with the technology and became the Borg? If there is no such data available in the Star Trek universe's database, is it a case that it does not exist or more simply does not compute?
Since the line "It is a good day to die" is from the film Little Big Man (Dustin Hoffman), and the words were uttered by the actor Chief Dan George, why not call Resigners (Old) "Lodge Skins" (his Native American name); and if you're resigning as Black, why not continue with a line from the same film: "Do you HATE the WHITE man, Grandfather?".
Bury my knight at f3.
hmm, I guess romulans must play sneaky modern defenses, klingons must play gambits, and I guess humans play mainlines, ruys, scotchs, QGs, Giuoco pianos, open sicilians. The cardassians would probbaly play something like the english, or the reti, that clearly wants to transpose but doesnt want to just play that opening in the first place. The borg would get queen and rook odds against everyone, but would be completely oblivious to even the most obvious attacking plans by their opponents which they would just stubornly see as no threat. They would also be completely incapable of doing any multi-purpose, flexible, or prophylactic moves.
The Star Trek universe contains different races with clear, stereotyped characteristics. Within the chess.com universe, by contrast, the characteristics of the various species are poorly written. PLEASE CONTINUE your sterling efforts toward extending these associations, leading to greater understanding, peace and EXTERMINATION OF ALIENS, etc.

See I'm not so sure about the Borg being database users. They clearly don't learn from their mistakes.

oh pu-l-ease! Don't pretend you didn't know I was talking about the classic Star Trek - ST:OTB. I've never even heard of the sheliak, and I seriously doubt if anyone else has either. What do they look like: pointy ears, ridged foreheads, what?
lol, ST:OTB? does such a thing exist? Perhaps you are referring to STccg! Here is a picture. I hope you like it. I had to go to a pretty geeky website to find it.
According to a quick google, the aldeans were the inhabitants of the impotent over-reliance-on-technology people, aka frequent database users.
ok, that's weird. It was there, and now it isnt. This happened once before, and it came back after a while.
According to an earlier post of yours (no. 9) I am both a Romulan and a Cardassian! Not sure I like that idea.
The picture claims the link is broken I think, but if you just go there manually it works fine. http://tng.trekcore.com/gallery/albums/s3/3x01/theensignsofcommand067.jpg

Any ideas on extending this table of associations? It may need correcting first.
