Of course after 1..f4 2 Kd2 h4! and then black moves his king to the a pawn.
By blocking with 1..f4 2 Kd2 h4 the kingside the white king cant stop the losing of the a pawn.
Couldn't decide which version you liked best? 
Black moves first. After 1... g5! White can`t avoid the mate.
2 f7 Rh4+ 3 Bxh4 g4 Mate.
