1.Kf5 means Black can draw...1.Ke4 or Ke3 are the ways for White to win, cutting off Black's c pawn.

White wins easily by Ke4 or Ke3, rounding up the pawns or preparing to Q his own with check. One key line:

1.Ke4 b5 2.Kd4 Ke8 3.Kc3! Kd8 4.d7! Ke7 5.Kb4 Kd8 6.Kxb5! c3 7.Kc6 c2 8.Kd7 c1(Q) 9.e7#

how about:

1.Ke4 b6 or 1.Ke4 Ke8 ??

In both cases, white's play is the same, but faster than in the example I showed.

Is that really a game you played?  That position, or ones very similar, are usually given as a puzzle where the losing side is mated just like SmyslovFan showed.

Well clearly the idea is as SmyslovFan showed, you can't just copy the moves, it's the idea behind it.  So you have to find a way to burn a tempo.  It looks like 2.Ke3 works.

nice, the important matter in this case is a tempo :)
