First game analysis

Sort:
Villyer

This is a live (15 | 10) game I played recently, I thought it was pretty good (although that was probably due to a weaker opponent). I wanted to try to analyze a game (which I never have done before) and thought I would start with one I liked. This is my attempt at it, any feedback on my game or even analysis would be appreciated.

18... Qg6+ 19 Kh2 Rh3#

20... Qg6+ 21 Kh2 Qg2#

After 26 Qxg2 you have to hope that you can get a perpetual check in there somewhere.

White would have had a perpetual check with 27 Qd5+.

It's good that you analyzed your own games, that way you learn from all the mistakes that were made. The analysis itself is okay, and it's good to hear your thoughts the game, but it could be more in-depth about other moves that might have (or should have) been played.

The game itself was okay, although there were quite a few missed opportunities and it ended with a horrific blunder. Here's my amateur analysis of it, sorry if it gives bad advice or misses things.

Villyer

I didn't realize how many times I was so close to losing during the game.

I guess I should look deeper into how my opponent can break up my attacks. I think I just assumed everything would work. Im glad I posted this, I might have taken this game the wrong way and a better opponent would have ripped me apart if I tried this again.
