Chess is not a game of war, because if that was true, then instead of chess everybody would be playing AoE, Combat Mission, CMANO, or any other PC war game that simulates much better what war is.

For me, it's a game of war on the board/computer but, more so when I'm playing way into the wee hours....The wife's not wild about that.
