Is it stockfish or is it just me?

As many of you know, Stockfish is always in the top 3 world chess engines. So I very much doubt it made a mistake. Can anyone help me understand it better?
KirbyCake

engines simply do not understand fortresses, this position is dead drawn.

give it a drawn r+p vs q+p fortress without a database, it will say like +5 when its a dead draw

Thanks KirbyCake, I did not know that.

From starting position, it is win for white.

I don't think it is.  There is no place for the White king to break through.

Can you provide a winning line?

Looks like a draw to me and Stockfish 6 on my machine scores the starting position dead even at depth 45.

In this type of position, if there is no entry point for the king it is a draw.  Your assessment was correct.  As KirbyCake said an engine usually won't evaluate this type of drawn position correctly.

Engines have some weaknesses. This is one of them.

For some reason I don't have a version of the Crafty engine handy.

Crafty is usually good at this type of position (since it's makers got tired of ~2200 players stealing draws from it).  I'd be curious how fast it finds the draw.

Here is the solution

Earth64

b6+ is wrong move

MuhammadAreez10

Looks like Earth64 is correct.

mosey89

Yeah the draw is after b6+, good find by Earth64.

JubilationTCornpone

It's true that b6 doesn't win however, what move is better?

bxc doesn't win either.

Toire

Earth64 has the wrong starting position set up, pawn is on h7, not h6.

Earth64

Do not talk like foolish

Earth64

It is clear win for white

look at your initial position!!!!!

it's wrong!!!!!

the h pawn is on h7 not h6.thus black can waste a move and regain opposition

I was wrong. Fooled.
