I did my own analysis on this game that was drawn.

It's on a separate thread already if you want to check it out and post there!

Wow, I got another wave of games.  Hold off for a few days folks so I can catch up.

erikido23

for reals...it happened again?  Very annoying.  I was so tired I forgot I copied it (very carefully) again.

I really will get to your games eventually folks.  Give it time though :D

If you take longer than half an hour, the page expires and your post will be lost.  Select all and then copy it, reload the page, then paste it and post it.

Yeah, I did the first part.  But, then forgot that I had done that before it was too late.  Don't ever take your health for granted.  I also walked into a gas station today and paid for my gas.  Walked outside and almost drove off without getting any gas lol.

The first time I accidentally only copied the first 7 or so  moves.  Thanks for the help though

Anytime.......and that was almost a big-time "Oops!" at the gas station.  :D

BTW, if you are using Google chrome you can install a plugin called Lazarus. I'm not sure if firefox, IE, opera, etc all have something similar. You can get it to cache EVERYTHING that you type (so it's a good idea to set it to clear your cache everyday so it doesn't slow down your browsing). Then if you ever type anything and something goes wrong, you can click on the little icon and it all comes back like magic! Laughing

Ugg...I quit lol.  unfortunately I didn't use the chrome thing yet.

It took me a while to install it too, but when used properly, it was the best thing ever! :)

I need some help mostly on my endgame, although if you see something else, I would love to know that as well. Thanks!

40.  f5?

Just play b3.  You win the d pawn and penetrate with an easily winning game.

Thank you,

Hey, there I hope you can analyze my game. I'm a beginner at Chess and this is one of my recent games. I'm playing black and we agreed on a draw. I got a response that playing 44. ... Be3+ will make me forced win,, but I still don't get how.

Sorry, I will just give u some general comments on the game..

7...b4 is rather interesting as you exchange a center pawn for an outside pawn(after n-d5 nxe4 and nxb4).  The white knights are kind of redundant and awkward on d4 and b4.  Take control of c6 first..(b-b7) and then you seem to have a very healthy position.  You can develop your kingside get the king to safety and then advance your central pawns with tempos in a lot of cases

9.b4 ?!

Respond with d5 and you are well ahead based on the loose nc3 hanging b4 pawn etc.  This d5 break is good for the next couple of moves.  But, you wait to play it when it simply drops a piece.

16..0-0 you castle right into the attack An interesting idea was nxe4 and d5(If you are aware you are coming under a raging attack then just complicate things is sometimes the best thing to do).  Qxc3 might even be an objectively better move(/move to investigate).  THere was something else which I had suggested before. But, it is seeming to slip my mind.  Hope that little bit of analysis helps at least somewhat.

Thanks a lot erik, appreciate it :D

You missed lots of 1 and 2 move tactics(on your side and your opponents).  You obviously figured out that letting the pawn attack the knight and bishop at the same time was a mistake....Then a few moves later on move 18 you miss qxf7 k-k8 and q-f8! which mates after queen captures and your rook captures.

Then on move 24 you miss d5 forking knight and rook(your knight is protected)

move 27 you don't capture after a piece has been taken.  Maybe you had the idea of taking back later.  But, this turns out poorly as you saw.

Work on your basic combinations and counting to see if pieces are protected

I just finished playing this game which has almost no (major) mistakes (I think!). The only thing I should have done differently was to challenge the centre pawn with c4 instead of e4 - however I was too fixated on the Colle System (my favourite opening).

At move 15 I thought for about 5 min and analyzed my position. Lucky me, my opponent didn't see the threat the knight posed. From there it was pretty smooth sailing.

Any comments will be appreciated.
