8. ... exd5 IQPs can actually be very powerful. The side with the pawn can expect to have more active pieces as his pawn will cramp his opponent's position. I wouldn't call it a not good positional move at all. 10. Bxf6 gives up the Bishop pair for... what? You didn't even damage his pawns. Numerous other things throughout which all stemmed from Black having the more active pieces and White being somewhat more on the back foot. Just my thoughts.
