The Queen can't do it alone! (annoted amateur game)

I played a 10 minute time control game earlier today.  Mistakes on both sides, of course.  Tell me what you think. (should read 'annotated')

You didn't play any disastrous moves and you played with some initiative.  Not bad for your rating.

10...Ne5 looks interesting.  It is threatening to win white's queen with 11...Ng6 or 11...Nf3+.  White's queen looks trapped.  White would probably have to play 11. Ng1 to save his queen.  It was an interesting game.  Smile

Thanks.  I think that I'm better than my rating indicates (don't we all?), but it's been a while since I've played an OTB rated game and for some reason, I haven't done very well playing chess on the computer.  It's a totally different experience for me... pushing a mouse/finger pad vs.  moving an actual piece.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

I agree Ne5 was probably a better move.  The e4 pawn is still protected and the queen/king fork is threatened.  But I have to admit that I'm a little uncomfortable with the gaping hole created after 10...Ne5 11 Pxf6 Nf3+ 12 Kf1 Nxh4 13 Pxg7 Kxg7 14 Rg1+ Kh1 (even though I'm clearly ahead in material and iniative)

Thanks for checking it out!
