Can someone suggest a readable book on the French

Sort:
pdve

I wanted some suggestions on some readable books on the French defense.

I have Aagaard's play the French but it is too heavy and is probably aimed at grand masters.

Something like Tony Kosten's The Dynamic English

Here are some I found:

http://www.amazon.com/Starting-Out-French-Everyman-Chess/dp/1857442296

http://www.amazon.com/Tactics-French-Batsford-Chess-Library/dp/0805032797

These two are a little more for new-esque players.

This one is a little more advanced, but when I asked a friend, he recommended it.

I have loads of books on the French, but I do like Neil McDonald's "How To Play Against 1e4". I don't think you would be disappointed with this.
