When you study something like "Volume Orange 1: Fundamental Chess Strategy", you’re doing deep rewiring. That rewiring has a temporary side effect:
* You become less automatic in your play.
* You start second-guessing moves you used to play on instinct.
* You hit hard material (like Chapter 8 on centralization) and suddenly feel slow, foggy, unsure.
I feel weaker when I started studying Volume Orange 1 Fundamental. One chapter a day, as suggested, I am at Chapter 8 centralizing the pieces. The chapter is really hard. It is giving me fatigue already. I feel stronger by simply playing a lot and not studying at all. Anyone else experienced the same. Should I stop or should I keep going? I want to play tons of bullet games and memorize opening lines again.
