i wanted to upgrade my membership, but i cant pay here with paypal. The function does not work ? any ideas ?

should work. just go to www.chess.com/membership.html and then choose which membership you want and then choose PAYPAL as your payment option. note that paypal won't work for free trials.

I didn't work for me either. I had to pay with a manual PayPal transaction, BUT the problem was with PayPal not Chess.com.

you are right, JokernTP.... the transfer from chess.com to paypal works, but after the loggin at paypal, i got always the error, that the payment is not possible and i only could go back to chess.com

that stinks - i wonder why you have that problem!? most users do not... can you supply the exact error language?

for me it was because I don't have a credit card registered. The very reason I used PayPal to begin with. My card is not valid for Chess.com nor PayPal.

The error language in my case is german:

"Wir können Ihre Anfrage zurzeit leider nicht verarbeiten. Kehren Sie zu Chess.com, LLC zurück, und wählen Sie eine andere Option aus."

This means in english: we cannot proceed your payment. Please go back to chess.com and choose another opinion.

I have a credit card, but i am not happy to show my credit card in internet.

I could just transfer the money with a manual transaction, so you should be able to do that as well.

i will have to check on what the problem is with paypal.

the problem with that is that in the US there are still really high fees for that - like $10 per incoming transaction!

No, there is no problem at all as far as Chess.com is concerned. The problem is paying automatic transactions at PayPal.

this is a new pay method for me , I never heard of paypal. hope you get it solved.

If I choose PayPal as payment option, I see the same error:

Paypal are doing maintenence work on two days. If you're having problems today with paypal, try tomorrow and hopefully it should work. If it doesn't, let me know privately what problems you're experiencing, what any error messages you may see are saying

Now I did a manual transaction to support@chess.com via paypal. There was the next error message because "...this e-mail address is not supported by paypal." I had to do the transaction to a special paypal bank account. I hope, the money will arrive soon at chess.com so that I will get my upgrade... It seems that there are many difficulties to pay something on chess.com with paypal. I don´t want to answer privately because there are many members with the same problems.
