It's fine. I find it interesting sometimes, too. I have never posted comments like that, but I find it intriguing when I know about the problem's rating history.
I've stopped posting stats on TT (Formerly Complaint about my comments on TT)

I know, right? I was surprised that this guy was bothering to read mine. Thank you for your response by the way, zigwurst and kleelof :)

Tell em it's none of their damn business what you post in TT. They don't own em. Sounds like they just enjoy stiring stuff best left alone, anyway.

Awww thank you, learningthemoves and conflagration_Planet :)
I enjoy your comments, too, learningthemoves :)

Far more interesting than "." Which is not to say "." is bad. Oh forget it, post what you want. I know I do.

The complainer sounds like a flake, and maybe he(a female wouldn't write that, right?) had a bad day. You have the right to post anything you find fit! I'm just glad there's not too many of those flakes around TT.

What do you get when you cross a Bolshoi and a Shih tzu?
I have a feeling I don't really have to deliver the punchline.

lol! I should say this to the guy who left me the message!

Yeah, it's really annoying.
I try and find out which threads I have posted in and which have new comments, and I'm overrun with 20 tactics trainer comments which add nothing to the discussion about the problem.
Chesstempo has interesting and informative discussion about the problems, but that's impossible here because of people like yourself unfortunately.
If someone posts a question I wont answer it because too many new comments I check are people posting their score. I'm sure I'm not the only one. So people are actually deprived of help on the problems.

Thank you, ecogen :) I will look for your comments, too :)
And baddogno, thank you for enlightening me :) lol OK. Borzoi it is :)
As for Scottrf, I'm sorry to hear that you find the stats annoying. But since about 50% of the comments are even shallower(?) than mine (i.e. "easy!" "tricky" "I did this in 5seconds" "I took with the other rook" "stupid puzzle," etc.), I don't feel too bad.
Personally, I could not care less even when the comments are silly, because I do not think that other people exist to cater to my needs or to adhere to my personal preference. And I am happy to see the remarks of familiar members even when the comments are not so profound.
Tactics Trainer is not just for the very knowledgeable who are able to analyze the problems deeply. It is for everyone, and I am going to utilize it however I am able, and that is my right. Having said that, I do appreciate it when I read helpful explanations of difficult puzzles. Kudos to those who are so studious and smart :)

I mean at a certain point we have to figure out how far to take this relativism. Can I say that posting 15 comments in a row is fine because it helps me study better?
So, it's hard to say. But I don't think you are genuinely trying to annoy anybody, so it's not that big of a deal. I think it's ok for people to not personally like a certain comment, but they should respect the freedom and wills of other people at the same time.
EDIT: As of July, 2014, because of what transpired from the discussions of this thread, I have stopped posting in Tactics Trainer comment section, (see post #194, #232),
so I will not be responding to questions "Why are you posting on Tactics Trainer?" If you are curious why people post on TT, ask those people who do post. They should be able to answer your inquiry. (edited August 21, 2014)
Following is the original post ----------------
I just recieved this message from a stranger telling me to "stop spamming tactical trainer comments. I don't care about your achievements. I have a track on Tactical Trainer and I don't want to see your comments"
So the comments I have left on the puzzles would be something exactly like the following:-
I leave these stats as my comment basically to remind myself if I had passed the puzzle or not (the next time I come across it), and for me, it's an interesting information because I can see if the problem rating is going up or down and what is the avergage time people took to solve the problems, how many people attempted them and what the pass rate is. The interesting thing is that there are so many people who leave exactly the same comment content so I never thought it was a problem.
So is this person's complaint legitimate? Am I spamming? I am rather stunned by this message left on my profile window (which I deleted) Thank you for your response in advance :)
