Latin proverb: Timidi mater non flet (A coward's mother does not weep)
Enigma : Why cowards never say good bye ?
Musing: Maybe they just dont care enough to toss around useless online greetings/partings to people they probably dont know, and in most cases have no interest in knowing.
Jesus christ.....
We just played, you said "bye, coward" after geetting checkmated twice. You really wonder why people do not like that?

He was very rude if he said that but what are you doing beating up on a guy who has 500 rating pts fewer than you have ?

If you are going to poke a tiger, don't complain when he rips your guts open.
The OP chose to play the game, he has no reason to be rude because he lost. In fact, it was the second game he played against pushingthepawn.
It seems to be standard procedure on here to let your entire clock run out if mate is unavoidable, is it because I am American?
It's because they want to be jerks.
I never mind at all. When I sit down to a 30/0 game, I dedicate the entire hour to that game. If they want to sit and let the clock tick down, that's fine. I can read up on a quick chess article or something else. And, when I finish, I've got 1 more win point on my record.

Exactly. The way I see it, if I enter into a game of online chess, then they've got three days to make a move. If they can't avoid checkmate and decide to let the clock run down - that's fine. If they decide to make a move at the last minute, giving themselves another 3 days of grace, that's fine too.
I just wish there was 5 | 15 time controls. This seriously just happened to me in a 10 minute game. (I lost on time)
