A smothered mate? Yes, I have.
One that comes to mind is the relatively well known combination by Pillsbury executed during a blindfold simul (!) of 22 players.
Taken from my Reinfeld book, a very nice mate in 3:

Sweet puzzle. :)
I was was reading an article (http://www.chess.com/article/view/just-for-fun) and it made me think of a game i played in a school tournement. I won with just a knight, i honestly don't remember where all my pieces where but i remember the jist of it.
I know it seems silly and suspicious but it did happen
Wow, if that actually happened, I'm really wondering how that poor kid felt!
Yeah although I haven't actually delivered the classic smothered mate ( black king on h8, pawns on g7 h7, rook on f8, white knight on h6. White queen plays Qg8+ forcing ...Rxg8 then Nf7 mating the trapped king) but I have won games using the threat of using it.
I can't remember any other times where I mated with a single piece, in fact I'm pretty sure I have (not that it would be fancy or anything), just can't remember a specific time right now.
