Everything is fournished, so I don't have to worry about buying anything, but he says there's gonna be money coming in my pocket.

I'm just wondering, how much :P

Funny. I have not seen anyone becoming rich by owning a chess club. But there is money on teaching chess. I used to work in a chess club who has a tie up with a multinational company to conduct chess clinic for kids. During that time, a National Master earns 400 pesos (around USD 10) a day. "Great, but what about the rest?" "Yeah, my gran gave me the rest so I could afford it."

You could make a bucket of money if you charge for membership; have grand prizes for tourney winners, and charge per game won and double that amount for games drawn! And anyone who resigns is penalised heavily.

Think of attractive ways to get members , like strip chess!!

really your imagination is the limit for how to make millions with a chess club as a front.

Riposte.  Only took me 13 hours.

Spelling correction has definitely overtaken sarcasm as the lowest form of wit.

I only bothered so I could use the one-liner but if that's the level you equated it at, enjoy it your way.

most chess clubs do not earn much.

make sure to get him to write everything he promises you in writing. Sometimes if something sounds too good to be true it usually is.

I think it sounds like he is trying to oversell you the idea by throwing in the money punchline. something is off.
